DJ Phat
Dj Phat's passion for music started at a very young age, when his mom turned on the radio in the car, no matter which format was playing, he knew what song it was and would sing along. A family visit to Florida changed his path towards music for life back in 1996. "Waking up to Dj's mixing live on the radio was just insane, what better way to start your day!" Immediately when returning from his trip, he tracked down the local music equipment shop and bought a full DJ set up. Next stop was Wide Angle Records where Phat met his new mentor and partner Brother Jules. Together they started a promotional company (Nocturnal Street Promotions) that handled accounts such as; Bad Boy Entertainment, Rawkus, Hugo Boss, Miramax Films, SRC, Twizm, and Interscope Records just to name a few. Jules paved the streets for Phat by letting him open up each and every party or event for him. Eventually Phat started throwing his own parties mainly in the Asian community and started to have a great following. Renting out party rooms, restaurants, and other small venues just to get his name out there and establish himself with his style and creations. Finding and expressing himself through music lead Phat to land his first club gig at Daddy Rocks in downtown Minneapolis where he went from one night to four nights and remained there until they closed their doors four years later. During that time, Jules handed down the responsibilities of running the Minnesota Street Jocks Record Pool out of Wide Angle Record Store. Finally his talent was recognized and Dj Phat was given the opportunity to become part of the Beatmaster Mixshow Dj's live on KTTB B96.3FM in Minneapolis. He has been a part of the team for 3 years now and continues to Dj at local clubs in Minnesota. Currently you can check him out; Mondays at Axis in downtown Minneapolis and Tuesdays at Jersey's in Inver Grove Heights. Whether it's in the club or on the radio you can always catch Dj Phat boldly expressing his raw emotions the only way he knows how - through music!

DJ JT
Before he was a teenager, Beatmaster JT began recording music off the radio, and splicing together mixes on a dual cassette deck. When he was 16, he dusted off his dad's old turntable and taught himself how to scratch with records he found at garage sales. Over the next few years he sharpened his skills, and started buying professional equipment. By the time he was 20, JT was filling in at nightclubs for friends, and making remixes for the radio. His experience at numerous clubs helped him become a B96 Beatmaster DJ. JT prides himself on working hard, and paying attention to the details. He says the most important thing to him is keeping the crowd moving, while delivering a quality mix. Currently, you can find Beatmaster JT at Axis Nightclub on Thursday & Friday nights, and LIVE from Axis every Friday night on B96.
DJ No Mic
Spinning under a creative mix of his first name, Mike, and his once-great-fear of the microphone, DJ No-Mic got in the game back when rap was just a fad and zipper pants were the craze. He has said more than once that he was so lucky to grow up in those early rap days. His music collection started as cassette recordings off the radio. He got his first gig in his hometown, Cottage Grove, when he was 15, spinning vinyl and videos on VHS. As he continued to build his collection and be the best bedroom DJ around, he had no intention of actually doing anything with his skills––until a friend needed someone to cover some gigs. Since No-Mic has stepped in the Minneapolis club scene, he has built a solid reputation and following of enthusiastic fans. Wherever he plays, the atmosphere is that of the old basement party days. Crowd response is his greatest reward and he still gets goose bumps from it. No-Mic's favorite quote is one of his own: "I can appreciate excellence." CAN YOU?
